Luke: 18 months old

I cannot believe my baby is 18 months old!  He is such a little boy and not a baby any longer!  Luke is my busiest child by far, but he is also my most loving.  Sometimes he will walk up to my leg (when I am sitting down) and pat it and hug on it.  He will also pat my chest when I am holding him and say "Mama".  Such a sweet, sweet boy.  And then he dumps out sticky Benedryl that I left out for Claire to take right after a bath and I have to re-bathe him and clean up his big mess (all while Will was out of town) or unrolls an entire roll of aluminum foil or toilet paper if you turn your back for a second.

Some stats from the 18 month visit:

weight: 25 lbs., 10 oz. (50th percentile)
height: 32-1/8 inches (45th percentile)

He is Mr. Independent!  We were playing outside yesterday and he walked into the garage, got some sidewalk chalk, and came back out to the driveway and started drawing.  This kid doesn't miss a beat ... and he thinks he can do anything his big brother and sister can do.

Drawing with chalk.

He loves the playground.  He just walked back and forth on the playset.

And he has no fear of the slide.

(Claire did have to give him a little push down this one, but he loved it!)

He gives slobbery kisses.

And says cheese for the camera.

Cheesing with Daddy.

Look at all those teeth!  Only 8 more to go.

He has the sweetest laugh.  He always up for a good tickle.

He is constantly climbing onto the kitchen table.  Don't leave anything up there or he will get it.  He hasn't quite figured out how to get back down though.

I'm in trouble when he learns how to open the pantry.  If you ever accidently leave it open (which C&D do quite often), he will make a beeline and help himself to a snack or 3.

He loves to read books.  "Goodnight Moon" is his favorite and we read it everynight.  If he is missing upstairs, I can usually find him in his room digging through the book basket.  (Or trying to hijack his paci out of his bed.)

He waves "bye-bye" and blows kisses.  He does the motions to "If you're happy and you know it" and "Itsy-Bitsy Spider".  When you sing "Jesus Loves Me", he makes muscle arms when you sing "they are weak, but he is strong."  He loves to dance and spin around.

He is wearing 18-24 months size clothing, size 5-6 shoes and size 4 diapers.

His words: "bye-bye", momma, dada, bathtub, eat, more, bite, all done, thank you, here you go, milk, fishies, book, ball, apple and cheese.  That is all I can think of now.

And by the way, he LOVES the bathtub.  He gets so mad when it is time to get out.
